Boyd, Adam (NC). Ensign 1st North Carolina, 4th January 1776; 2nd Lieutenant, 3rd March 1776; Chaplain 22d North Carolina, 1st October 1777 Brigade Chaplain, 18th August 1778, to June 1789. (died 1800).

Boyd, Hugh (NC) Surgeon 4th North Carolina, 17th April 1776 to_______

Boyd, John (Mass).  Captain of Company Minute Men in Lexington Alarm, April, 1775; Captain of Heath's Massachusetts Regiment, May to December, 1775.

Boyd, John (Pa).  Volunteer in the Quebec Expedition; taken prisoner at Quebec 31st December, 1775; exchanged 1st November, 1779.

Boyd, John (Pa). 2d Lieutenant 12th Pa., 16th October, 1776; 1st Lieutenant, 20th May, 1777; transferred to 3d Pa., lst July, 1778; Captain Lieutenant, 18th June, 1779; retired 17th January, 1781. (Died 13th February, 1832.)

Boyd, Matthew (Pa).  Captain Montgomery's Pennsylvania Battalion of the Flying Camp; taken prisoner at Fort Washington 16th November 1776.

Boyd, Matthew (Pa). Lieutenant-Colonel Pa. Militia, 1777-1778.
 

Boyd, Nathaniel (N. H.). Sergeant 1st N. H., 24th April, 1775; 2d Lieutenant, 18th June to -- December, 1775.

Boyd, Robert (Pa). Surgeon lst Pennsylvania Battalion, 19th April, 1776; resigned 13th June, 1776.

Boyd, Thomas (Md). Ensign 2d Maryland, 27th October, 1779; transferred to 5th Md., lst January, 1781, with rank of 2d Lieutenant; retained in Maryland Battalion April, 1783, and served to 15th November, 1783. (Died 1797.)

Boyd, Thomas (Pa). lst Sergeant of Thompson's Pa. Rifle Regiment, 25th June, 1775; taken prisoner at Quebec 31st December, 1775; exchanged - November, 1777; 1st Lieutenant 1st Pa., 14th January, 1778; killed in action with Indians near Geneseo, N. Y., 13th September, 1779.

Boyd, Thomas (Pa). 3d Lieutenant of Miles' Pennsylvania Rifle Regiment, 19th March,, 1776; 2d Lieutenant, 9th August, 1776; taken prisoner at Fort Washington 16th November, 1776; resigned 22d June, 1777. (Died 1814.)

Boyd, William (Mass).  Quartermaster of Ward's Ma. Regiment, -- May to -- December, 1775; Lieutenant and Quartermaster 21st Continental
Infantry, 1st January to 31st December, 1776.

Boyd, William (Pa).  Ensign 12th Pa., 16th .October, 1776; 2d Lieutenant, 20th May, 1777; killed at Brandywine, 11th September, 1777.
