History of the 362nd Infantry
I have a copy of the "History of the 362 Infantry" published in 1920. Under "Those who Paid the Supreme Price", p. 59: Arvel R. Boyd
(2780832) Pvt. Co. A. From p. 35: September 29th will always be surging back in the minds of the men of the 362nd Infantry. Its scenes and deeds time can never efface so long as memory lasts. It was upon that day — September 29, 1918 — that the Kriemhilde line, the German third line of defense in the Argonne, was broken for the first time by an American regiment — the 362nd. From The
Association Roster, p. 82: Thought you might like this information. --
