Bahamas


At the end of the American Revolution, thousands of Loyalists left the country. Many from the North fled into Canada, particularly to Nova Scotia. Others returned to Britain, others, particularly Southern Loyalists, went to the Bahamas, particularly to the Abaco Islands.
