However to the best of my knowledge I do not think that any of
our Susannah Boyds family came out to New Zealand. Susannah
married James Rutherford (my2x Great Grandfather) 16th April, 1861
in Edinburgh. Her parents on the marriage certificate are, John Boyd,
deceased and Mary Boyd, maiden name Dick. In the 1881 Scottish census
Susannah is listed as being born in Ayr, In the 1891 Scottish census she
is listed as being born Lanarkshire, Glasgow. I have not been lucky with
finding her birth or christening which is circa 1841.

On Susannah's death certificate, her death 19th June, 1915 South Leith,
her parents are listed as John Boyd and Mary Boyd, subsequently Dick,
maiden name Galbraith. The informant was her son John Rutherford living
in Pitt Street, Edinburgh. Two of Susannah's children came out to New
Zealand. They were George Rutherford, my great grandfather and his
brother James Oliver Rutherford and his wife Constance.
