DIED:
Serena A. BOYD - In Sacramento, April 30, 1890, daughter of T. E. Boyd and
A. C. BOYD, aged 18 years, 8 months and 2 days.
Serena, eldest daughter of T. E. BOYD, died in Sacramento last Wednesday from blood poisoning,
super-induced by eryipelas, after an illness of but two or three days, Miss Boyd had gone to Sacramento for medical treatment, but was too late. Her remains were buried at Woodland on Friday, as the last request of deceased.

Nov. 16, at Gray's, Divisadero St. at Post.
William James BOYD 1866-1943
William J. Boyd, 56, owner of Boyd Lighting and Fixture Company, died
yesterday morning at Hahnman Hospital. Mr. Boyd was born at Sutter Creek, Amadore county, in 1866, and has
made his home at 2518 Filbert Street for many years. He was past exalted ruler and trustee of the San Francisco Lodge of Elks.
He is survived by his widow, Madeline, and three daughters, Mrs. Edwin Cahill, Dorothy and Virginia Boyd, and a grandson, Boyd Cahill.

Ernest R. Boyd
Ernest Ripley Boyd, 80, of Novato, died
unexpectedly on Thursday at home. Boyd was a native of Winnipeg, Canada,
and had lived in San Francisco from the early 1920s until moving to
Marin three months ago.
Boyd was a semi-retired industrial engineer. He
was a member of the American Association of Retired Persons, California
Chapter No. 1 of the National Association of Power Engineers and
National Geographic Society. He was a past member of the Olympic Club of
San Francisco.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline Carroll Boyd;
three adopted children, Joseph Carroll Boyd of San Francisco, Patricia
Carroll Fulmer of Phoenix and Donna Carroll Boyd of Novato; six
grandchildren; and one great grand- daughter.

Helen H. G. Boyd, a long-time resident of Hillsborough and San Francisco, died yesterday in Southern California. She was 99.
Mrs. Boyd was born in Melbourne, Australia, on April 19, 1879, one of seven children of
Mr. and Mrs. Robert McMicking of Manus Station, Victoria. She came to this country in 1911 to marry William Sprott Boyd, a
mining engineer and fellow Australian, and they went to live in the mining camp of Ray, then in Arizona Territory. Boyd became manager of the Arizona, New Mexico and Nevada properties
of the Kennecott Copper Co. and a vice president of Kennecott. In 1927, the Boyds moved to Hillsborough and remained there until
Boyd's death in 1958. Thereafter, Mrs. Boyd lived in San Francisco.
Mrs. Boyd was active in the Episcopal Church of St. Matthew of San Mateo, was on the board of Mills Memorial Hospital, was president of
the women's auxiliary to the American Institute of Mining and Metallurgical Engineers and an early president of the Women's Golf
Association of Northern California.
She is survived by three children, Eleanor Boyd Boushey of Portola Valley,
R. Mitchell S. Boyd of San Rafael and William S. Boyd Jr. of
Hillsborough, and by ten grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
There will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Episcopal Church of St. Matthew, Baldwin avenue and North El Camino Real, San
Mateo.
The family prefers memorial contributions to the Save the Redwoods League.

Leland M. Boyd
Leland " Lee" Boyd, 57 of San Rafael,
died Wednesday in a local hospital after a lengthy illness.
Boyd was born in Kansas and live most
of his life in California. He had lived in Marin since 1956. He was a
veteran of World War II.
He started his own business, the Able Fence Co. in
Petaluma in
1959.
Boyd was a member of Operating Engineers Local 3 and the International
Fence Industry Association.
He is survived by his wife Frances; a son, Dan
Boyd of Santa Rosa; a stepson, Ron Hancock of Rohnert Park; a brother,
Fred Boyd of Kansas; a sister Minnie Bailey of Houston; and four
grandchildren, John, Sherri, Lisa and Bryan Boyd.
