Will of
A. Josephine Boyd
Coweta
County, Georgia
A. JOSEPHINE BOYD - COWETA COUNTY, GA
In the name of God, Amen.
Being in bad health and knowing moreover that life at best is uncertain,
I have thought it best to make evoke a disposition of my property to
take effect at my death.
(1) I give and bequeath to my mother, MRS MARGARET BOYD, all my
property both real and personal, to have and enjoy for and during her
life.If she finds it necessary to use up or dispose of any part of the
corfers of the personal property, she may do so; and the remainer
interest in the personal after her death shall extend to only such part
of the same as may be left undisposed of by her.
(2) At the death of my mother, I desire my land sold by my executor -
the five acres off the Watkin's lot to be sold at a different time from
the others - the proceeds to be disposed of as follows:
(1) I want a monument put over my mother's and father's graves and over
my brother's (W.L.E. BOYD) grave, and one over mine, and a wire
fence around the family burial ground. I want the proceeds of the five
acres to be appropriated towards my grave.
(2) I give & bequeath my brother DR. J.Y. BOYD, one fourth
the net proceeds of the land, after taking out the expenditures on
account of item three. Out of this one fourth are to be deducted what my
brother owes me on some notes I hold against him, unless he shall sooner
pay off the same.
(3) I give and bequeath to my sister, MRS ELIZA LINCH, one fourth
of the net proceeds of the land after taking out the expenditures to be
made as per item three.
(4) The rest and residue of my estate I will and bequeath to the
children of Mrs. Mollie Rhodes born and to be born.
(5) I have not given the children of my brother W.L.E. Boyd anything for
the reason that I have already paid out to him and on his account as
much as I would have given him, and he expected nothing on that account
from me.
(6) I appoint my uncle Leander B. Watkins my executor. I revoke all
former wills.
