Robert Boyd husband of Rosannah Stewart Meriwether Co; Georgia In the name of God, Amen. I Robert Boyd of the County and State aforesaid, being of a low state of health but of sound mind and ---- collective knowing the frailty of human life ----- it is once appointed for man to die, make and Ordain this my last Will and Testament. 1st My Will and desire is, I give and de------ my soul to the Almighty God the author then-- and recommend my Body to the dust from ----- it came and to a decent burial. I give and bequeath my land lot No. two hundred and sixty nine in the Ninth district of formerly Troup County now Meriwether County wherein David B. Boyd now lives, the above named land to be sold and equally divided between all my heirs to wit, - William Boyd, Joseph Boyd, and Mary Achison, John Boyd, Hugh Boyd, Gennett Abernathy, Rosanah Sloan and David B. Boyd and Fanny Tidwell, I nominate and appoint my son William Boyd my Executor to this my last Will and Testament carried into effect, - Given unto my hand and seal this 8th day of December 1840.
