 Delilah Boyd ~ John Frick

 William Weaver/Magdalena Frick/Delilah Boyd - Noble Co; Indiana

This prominent and public-spirited citizen of Elkhart township was born on his father's farm in Orange township, Noble Co, Indiana, September 4, 1855.  He was reared on the home farm and secured an education in the district school.  After laying aside his books to take up the duties of the farm he remained with his parents until reaching manhood's estate. Marrying soon afterward, he remained one year longer on the home place, when he settled on a farm in Elkhart township, which has since been the principal scene of his labors.  His marriage took place December 25, 1879 to MISS MAGDALENA FRICK, daughter of JOHN and DELILAH (BOYD) FRICK.  Her father was a native of Switzerland; her mother was a native of Pennsylvania, and was born December 28, 1832.  They were married September 22, 1854, and settled in Elkhart Twp..  Here the father died February 21, 1870.  They were the parents of eleven children, namely; Susan, who became the wife of Cornelius Resler, died in Noble county April 29, 1885; MAGDALENA, who is the wife of the subject, was born May 10, 1857; William is a farmer residing in Elkhart township; Barbara is the wife of Wesley Weaver, of Orange township; Christian died when about twenty-four years of age; Joseph; Edward; Amanda, a prominent young girl, died at the age of seventeen; Katie died in childhood; and the others who passed away in infancy.
