In 1767 DR. JOHN BOYD establishes a drug store at Baltimore Town, the second here (May).  1774 Dr. John Boyd on [Committee of Observation] for Baltimore County and Town.  1775 Dr. Moses Allen, member of Committee of Observation of Talbot County, and Drs. Samuel Owings and John Boyd on same Committee for Baltimore County.  1776 Dr. John Boyd and others authorized by Congress to sign bills of credit.  1776 Drs. Wiesenthal, Boyd and Cradock issue a call on the ladies of Baltimore for lint and linen for bandages for the troops (March 12).  1779 Drs. Wiesenthal, Hazlett, Boyd, Thomas Andrews, Coale, Ridgeley, William Beard, and Labesius, agree upon a fee table in accord with the high prices of the necessaries of life, the poor to be attended gratis.  1788 A medical society organized, President, Dr. Wiesenthal; Secretary, Mr. Frederick Dalcho; Drs. Boyd, Goodwin, Brown, Guilder and others members (December 16).  1789 The Medical Society reorganized, with Dr. Edward Johnson President; Andrew Wiesenthal, Secretary, Treasurer and Librarian; John Boyd, R. Guilder, George Buchanan and George Brown, Court of Correspondence (November 6 "Griffith's Annals").  1790 Deaths: Drs. John Boyd, February 4, aet. 53; Jos. Harrison
