Margaret Boyd ~ Hugh Crockett

Baltimore Maryland to Cayuga Co., NY

I am looking for information on my gggrandmother Margaret Boyd born abt. 1808. This date is approximate and I'm basing it on when her husband Hugh was born.  Nothing indicates that Margaret was born in Maryland except Census data.

I wonder if the reason that she and her husband moved to NY indicates that perhaps she had family there.

Margaret married Hugh Crockett in Baltimore Maryland on June 20, 1826.
About 1840 She and Hugh moved out of Maryland and ended up in Sterling, Cayuga Co., NY (this is in Central NY near Lake Ontario).

Margaret died in 1847 and is buried in Sterling Center, Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Sterling, NY.   Hugh remarried to Mary Ann Robinson in 1848. Margaret Boyd and Hugh Crockett named their first son John Boyd Crockett b January 14, 1829, so  I will guess that Margaret's father's name may be John.  Margaret Boyd and Hugh Crockett's other children were Margaret Crockett b August 1830 (Margaret is my ggrandmother she married Robert Smiley abt. 1850, died in Ogdensburg, NY and is buried in Syracuse, Onondaga Co., NY), Samuel James Crockett b 1837, Mary Anne Crockett b Abt. 1841, Robert Bates II Crockett b 1843.  I have checked through Maryland and New York and haven't been able to find anything concrete. I can't even seem to pinpoint Hugh Crockett in Maryland.  Hugh and his second wife and all the children are very much in evidence in Sterling, Cayuga Co., NY.
