have an addition to your Civil War Veterans:
William O. Boyd joined on Aug 18, 1864 in Rochester, MN.
He was in company H 11th Minn Vol Infantry. He was discharged Jun
26, 1865 at Gallatin, TN. He was living in Rochester, MN at the
time of enlistment working as a mason. After the war he moved to Iowa
and lived there until his death on Aug 15, 1920. His parents were James
& Elizabeth (Walker) Boyd. He married Ella Henry Doxey. He was born
in Ireland on Sept. 18, 1836, but when he filled out his papers he
said he was born Dec 18. 1839. I have his pension file from the
National Archives. Norann
