C. S. Boyd ~ Elizabeth Hocket

OH to MN


C.S. Boyd (deceased) a native of Ohio, was born on the 5th of May, 1811. He learned the masons trade while young, and followed the business till 1855. Then came to Minnesota, locating on sections twenty-two and twenty-seven, Monticello township. He was one of the early settlers , and highly respected by his fellow citizens. He met an untimely death by being caught under a falling tree on the 16th of February, 1880. He married Miss Elizabeth Hocket, of Ohio, on the 7th of October, 1847. Their children are, Anna Boyd, Charles W. Boyd, Henry H. Boyd, and Benjamin F. Boyd.
