He had the following children:

+ 3 M ii. John M. BOYD was born in 1762 and died on 15 Oct 1824.

 4 F iii. Margaret BOYD. Margaret married GARVIN.
 

Second Generation

 2. William Alexander BOYD (Robert) was born in 1760 in Ireland. He died in 1820 in Jackson, Mississippi and was buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Jackson, Mississippi.

William married ORR.

They had the following children:

+ 5 M i. Senator John D. BOYD was born on 28 Mar 1800 and died on 30 Jan 1844.

+ 6 M ii. Robert Louis BOYD was born about 1802.

 3. John M. BOYD (Robert) was born in 1762 in Virginia. He died on 15 Oct 1824 in Crawfordsville, IN.

John married Elizabeth DAVIS on 21 Apr 1801 in Maysville, KY.

They had the following children:

+ 7 M i. Senator Gordon D. BOYD was born on 15 Jan 1802 and died in 1832.

+ 8 M ii. Cary Allen BOYD was born on 16 Sep 1803.

 5. Senator John D. BOYD (William Alexander, Robert) was born on 28 Mar 1800 in Kentucky. He died on 30 Jan 1844 in Jackson, MS and was buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Jackson, Hinds Co., MS.

John married Anna MCKEE on 23 Jan 1821 in Maury Co., TN. Anna was born on 28 May 1804 in Murfreesboro, Maury Co., TN. She died on 29 Nov 1886 in Kosciusko, Attala Co., MS.

They had the following children:

 16 F i. Elizabeth H. BOYD was born in 1821 in Mississippi. She died in Nov 1873. Elizabeth married John Philemon WILLIAMS on 18 Jun 1838 in Leake Co., MS. John was born about 1814 in Tennessee. He died in Oct 1882 in Leake Co., MS.

 17 F ii. Rachel BOYD was born about 1823.

 18 M iii. William BOYD was born about 1825.

 19 F iv. Sophia BOYD was born about 1827 in Probably Leake Co., MS. She
died in 1910 in Kosciusko, Attala Co., MS.Sophia married Rev. Sydney HAYES
about 1847. Sydney was born about 1825.

 20 M v. Captain James Madison BOYD was born on 21 Aug 1829 in Probably
Leake Co., MS. He died on 15 Jun 1899 in Hesterville, Attala Co., MS and was
buried in Edmund Brister Cemetery, Attala County, Mississippi. James married Caroline A. KENNEDY on 20 Mar 1853 in Leake Co., MS. Caroline was born on 5 Aug 1823 in Leake Co., MS. She died on 5 Sep 1896 in Hesterville, Attala Co., MS and was buried in Edmund Brister Cemetery, Attala County, Mississippi.

 21 F vi. Matilda Ann BOYD "Litt" was born in 1832 in Standing Pine, Leake
Co., MS. She died in 1913 in Kosciusko, Attala Co., MS. Litt married Robert Berry WEBB in 1852. Robert was born about 1830. He died in Kosciusko, Attala Co., MS.

 22 M vii. Captain John Gordon Davis BOYD was born on 2 May 1835 in Lees
Co., MS. He died on 29 Mar 1917 in El Paso, El Paso Co., TX and was buried in Auburn Cemetery, Grandview, Johnson Co., TX. John married Mary Martha Josephine INGLE on 29 Nov 1857 in Jacksonville, Cherokee Co., TX. Mary was born on 4 Dec 1842 in Cherokee Co., Texas. She died on 23 Feb 1938 in Fort Davis, Jeff Davis Co., Texas.

 23 F viii. Martha J. BOYD was born in 1837. She died in 1856. Martha married Rufus STEVENS.

 24 F ix. Sarah A. BOYD was born in 1839. Sarah married (1) Steve KENNEDY. Sarah married (2) Edmund C. BARNES.

 25 M x. Andrew Jackson BOYD was born on 4 Jun 1840. He died on 8 Aug 1878. Andrew married Mary Alice Reed NILES, daughter of Jason Adams NILES and Harriet N. MCREE, on 28 Jan 1868 in Kosciusko, Attala Co., Mississippi. Mary was born on 15 Mar 1848. She died on 13 Jan 1941.

 26 M xi. Robert Ross BOYD was born on 9 May 1842 in Leake Co., MS. He died on 5 May 1915 in Palestine, Anderson Co., TX.  Robert married Sarah Rebecca MCAFEE on 14 Feb 1865 in Bethel Methodist Church, Attala Co., MS.

 6. Robert Louis BOYD (William Alexander, Robert) was born about 1802. He had the following children:

 27 M i. Christopher C. BOYD.

 7. Senator Gordon D. BOYD (John M., Robert) was born on 15 Jan 1802 in Kentucky. He died in 1832 in New Orleans, LA.

Gordon married Rebecca Frances WILLIAMS on 1 Aug 1841 in Leake Co., Mississippi.

They had the following children:

 28 M i. Rasselas BOYD was born on 14 Apr 1842. He died on 26 Dec 1893.
Rasselas married Minnie COLEMAN. Minnie was born on 23 Mar 1851 in South

SCARBOROUGH and Nancy, on 31 Jul 1843. Nancy was born on 25 Sep 1828. She died on 25 Aug 1886.

They had the following children:

 54 F i. Elizabeth BOYD was born about 1843. She died in 1879.  Elizabeth married John N. FORD on 2 Mar 1864.
 

 55 F ii. Ella BOYD died in May 1874 in Waco, TX.  Ella married TAYLOR.

 56 M iii. John Homer BOYD was born about 1847. He died in 1873 in Texas.

 57 M iv. Charles A. BOYD was born about 1848. He died in Mar 1877 in Kosciusko, Attala Co., MS.  Charles married Nora TAYLOR.

 58 M v. James McAdory BOYD died on 15 Jul 1853.

 59 M vi. Amzy P. BOYD Jr. was born on 24 Apr 1855. He died in Feb. Amzy married Nancy Elizabeth MCCLINTOCK. Nancy was born on 4 May 1858. She died on 31 May 1939.
