A collection of newspaper articles, diary entries, personal
remembrances, and historical articles about Fort Kearny, Kearney, and
the county. The chapters were prepared by descendants of the pioneers of
Buffalo County and contain historical as well as humorous incidents of
the early days. Compiled by the Kearney Business and
Professional Women's Club in 1967, to commemorate the centennial of
Nebraska's statehood.
