Abraham Boyd ~ Maria B. Hover

PA to Allen Co; OH


ABRAHAM BOYD, son of HENRY BOYD and MARGARET (BEER) BOYD, was born in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, on the 4th of May 1810. His wife, MARIA BELINDA HOVER, daughter of EZEKIEL HOVER and SALLIE (ADGATE) HOVER, was born in Trumbull County,OH, Dec 15,1809. They have four children: HENRY EZEKIEL BOYD, SALLIE COLUMBIA BOYD, MARGARET ANN BOYD, and MARY BELINDA BOYD.  Mr BOYD has a sister, MARY BOYD, and three brothers - JAMES BOYD, JOHN BOYD and HENRY F. BOYD. Their parents came to Ohio in 1812, and to Allen County in 1862. Abraham came to this county in 1837. 

Mrs. Boyd's parents came to the county in 1833.  Their children are, Emanuel Hover, Maria Belinda Hover, Sarah Hover, St. Clair Hover, Charles A. Hover, Newton Hover, Columbia Hover, and William U. Hover. 

Mr. Boyd has served as Trustee and Member of the Board of Education.
