Note:: Correction

Hi,
There is an error on your web page - which I verified last year. You are
listing Boyd, Shriver d. 1922 On the first listing (and maybe the second) I put
out in 2000, I also listed it this way because that's how it's been listed in the
Berkeley County Historical society 1970's book concerning Berkeley County,
WV Cemeteries. The marker actually reads "Baby Shriver" and he was the infant son of Mary Ruth (Hedges) Shriver - a 108 yr old member of our church
(Tomahawk Presbyterian) who died last year. He is buried near Zelda Boyd and
Clarence Boyd - and there is quite a bit of mold on the little stone covering
"baby". It's easy to see why someone made the mistake. Just thought I'd let
you know so you can change it. I'll add the other information you noted to the
TPC cemetery list I'm updating this week.
Thanks.

Garry Bock

Hedgesville, WV

Hi Folks,

Last week I was in Richmond, Va.  While we were on our way to visit James Monroe's Grave my 10 year old daughter said.  "Dad, stop, there's some Boyd's buried over there." Bless her little Hawk eyes.

There was a large monument with the inscription BOYD.  At the base I found
5 graves containing:

Whitmell C. Boyd
B. Feb. 7, 1874
D. Apr. 10, 1936

Mary Dallas Cogmill Boyd
B. Dec. 5, 1877
D. Sept. 17, 1969

William Leggo Boyd
B. Apr. 13, 1850
D. Mar. 16, 1921

Julia Garnett Boyd
B. Nov. 4, 1856
D. Feb. 25, 1910

Clinton C. Boyd
B. July 5, 1883
D. Jan. 22, 1946

I have pictures of this site and would be happy to e-mail them to anyone interested.

Best
