Albany County Ranches
Many of the early
citizens of Albany County owned ranches. Most of the ranches in Albany
County have changed hands many times. Few are still owned by the
descendants of early settlers. The ranchers were an important part of
county history. Schools were held at the kitchen tables, they were a
source of livelihood, employment, recreation in the area.
